Double the background

In case anyone is curious, when you decide to rearrange your house you will not get any crafting done.  In all honesty, you won't get much of anything done no matter how hard you may try.  Ask me how I know...

During the last week, I have been pondering the challenge over at Papertrey for their Make it Monday challenge this week.  I saw the challenge on Monday - use two background stamps one over the other.  I thought about all the background stamps I had over the next couple of days.  Eventually I came up with the idea of embossing the chicken wire over the beams from their barn background set.  Of course, I didn't actually get to sit down and try it until today.  The effect was even better than I expected.

I stamped the beam after stamping off so it wouldn't be too dark.  Then stamped the chicken wire and embossed it with an enamel embossing powder.  I used the hexagon cover plate to cut out a few hexagons to mimic the shape of the chicken wire for the sentiment.

I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamps challenge - Anything Goes - this week.

Thanks for looking.
